- 01Dr. Tony E. Medley, Sr. is an experienced and licensed Christian & Pastoral Counselor who has received his licensing from the National Christian Counseling Association. He has a Masters Degree and Doctorate Degree in his field, possessing over 20+ years of hands-on experience.
- 02Christian counseling may be right for you if you're looking to improve the quality of your life. Whenever there is anything that interferes with your happiness or prevents you from achieving your goals, we may be able to help. Bishop Tony Medley specializes in specific issues, such as stress, anxiety, relationships, parenting, depression, addictions, eating, sleeping, trauma, anger, family conflicts, LGBT matters, grief, religion, self-esteem and more.
- 03Dr. Tony uses a wide range of materials, tools, resources, and psychological techniques, to include prayer, scripture, affirmation, bible study, self-auditing or self-evaluation to help you combat your issue. Treatment approaches may vary on the client but can include any of the following types of therapy: Christian Counseling Coaching, Culturally Sensitive Integrative Person-Centered Rational Emotive Behavior (REBT) Reality Therapy Solution Focused Brief (SFBT) Strength-Based.
- 04You can receive counseling through Zoom Video conferencing. You can engage in counseling at different times as you wish, based on your needs, availability, and convenience.
- 05This depends on your needs and varies a lot from one person to another. Some people feel they get most of the value after just a few weeks, while others prefer to stick to the program for an extended period of time. This is completely up to you.
- 06The cost of counseling through ALCC is currently $55 per person per hour. This pricing also applies to couple and family counseling (i.e. a couples session would be $110, a session for a family of three would be $165). We accept all major credit cards (i.e. American Express, Discover, Mastercard and Visa), Health Savings Account, and Check.
- 07We do not submit claims to Medicare, Medicaid or health insurers. Coverage and benefits for traditional therapy and counseling services change from one health insurance company if you consider using your health insurance, please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions: 1. Do I have mental health insurance benefits? 2. What is my deductible and has it been met? 3. How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover? 4. What is the coverage amount per therapy session? 5. Is approval required from my primary care physician?
- 08Everything you tell your counselor is confidential. We don't cooperate or work with any insurance companies so nothing needs to be shared, reported or filed with them. If you wish for any of your information or records to be released to a third party, please let your counselor know. Your counselor will send you an authorization form that you will need to fill and sign before your information can be released.
