Our Story
1990s – Foundations in Baltimore
Our journey began as Deliverance Temple Ministries in Baltimore, Maryland, under the leadership of Dr. Tony E. Medley, Sr. From the start, the church was marked by a strong commitment to deliverance, discipleship, and community outreach.
2000s – Growth and Innovation
The ministry expanded its presence and reach, adding creative approaches to connect with people of all ages. Media outreach through radio, television, and the Your Dose of Deliverance broadcast carried the message of hope and healing beyond church walls.
2010s – Transition to Georgia
Following God’s direction, the ministry relocated to Georgia and became Abundant Life Christian Church (ALCC). New roots were established in Manchester and Eastman, with a renewed focus on worship, teaching, and hospitality for members and visitors alike.
2020s – The Church You See Today
Now with more than 30 years of ministry, ALCC continues to thrive as a Bible-based, Spirit-led church committed to equipping believers and transforming communities. Our mission remains clear: to empower people and transform communities by leading them to Christ and equipping them to live an abundant life.
Our Statement of Faith
At Abundant Life Christian Church, our faith is grounded in the Word of God and centered on the core truths of Christianity:

WE BELIEVE the Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and the final authority for all doctrine and practice (2 Timothy 3:16–17).

WE BELIEVE in one God revealed in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — the Creator and sustainer of all things (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19).

WE BELIEVE Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, born of a virgin, fully God and fully man, who lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died for our sins, rose again, ascended to heaven, and intercedes for us (John 1:1–3; Hebrews 7:25).

WE BELIEVE salvation comes only through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ’s atoning death and resurrection. It is the free gift of God’s grace, not earned by works, and brings new birth and eternal life (John 3:3; Ephesians 2:8–9).

WE BELIEVE the church is the body of Christ, called to worship God, disciple believers, and fulfill the Great Commission (Ephesians 1:22–23; Matthew 28:19–20).

Meet the Bishop
Innovative, determined, passionate, unique, and dedicated, Bishop Tony E. Medley, Sr. is a man of vision and purpose — a man after God’s own heart. Inspired by Luke 4:18–19, he lives out the call “to preach the gospel to the poor, to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim deliverance to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind.” With over three decades of ministry and counseling experience, Bishop Medley has been equipped through both spiritual anointing and academic preparation. His credentials include certification from the National Christian Counselors Association, an Honorary Doctorate in Divinity from St. Thomas Theological Seminary, Masters and Bachelors in Counseling Services from the Association of Theological Schools, a Bachelors in Pastoral Counseling & Business Management from Liberty University, and a Certificate of Ordination with the Church of God in Christ.
