The devil often tries to accuse believers, focusing on their failures and attempting to separate them from God's love. However, our righteousness is not based on our works but on the atoning blood of Jesus. When the devil accuses us, he is not speaking against our deeds but against the Jesus who lives within us. This accusation is anti-Christ in nature, directly opposing the truth of God's perfect love and forgiveness.
God's love is perfected in us when we embrace the truth of His grace. This perfected love liberates us from guilt and shame, giving us the confidence to pursue our destiny without the weight of condemnation. If there is anything keeping you from fulfilling your purpose, know that the love of God has already covered it. Like a shield, His love protects us, allowing us to stand firm against the enemy's accusations.
Love in Perspective
Understanding God's love requires perspective. In 1 John 2:15-18, we are cautioned against loving the things of the world, as they are fleeting and do not align with God's eternal plan. Love, as demonstrated by God, is an active, sacrificial commitment. It is not swayed by circumstances or emotions but rooted in an unwavering commitment to what is good, righteous, and true.
As believers, we must recognize the times we live in. The enemy actively works to separate us from the love of Christ through distractions, trials, and temptations. Yet, Scripture reminds us, "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?" (Romans 8:35). The answer is nothing—no power, person, or situation can sever the bond between God and His children. This truth calls us to remain steadfast, anchored in the knowledge of His unchanging love.
When we live with this perspective, we are liberated from fear and doubt. Knowing the depth of God's love enables us to walk by faith and not by sight. Sight often deceives us, showing only the storms and challenges of life. Faith, on the other hand, reveals the opportunities hidden within those storms, allowing us to see God's hand at work. This perspective transforms how we live, shifting our focus from the temporal to the eternal.
The Anointing and God’s Presence
The anointing flows from God's love and empowers us to fulfill our purpose. When we walk in the anointing, we are not operating in our own strength but in the power of the Holy Spirit. This anointing is not about personal achievement but about advancing God's kingdom. It equips us to serve, to heal, and to proclaim the good news with boldness.
In Luke 4:18, Jesus declared, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because..." Every anointing comes with a purpose. For Jesus, it was to preach to the poor, heal the brokenhearted, and set captives free. Likewise, God has anointed each of us for specific tasks. The anointing is not dependent on how we feel but on what God has called us to do. It flows even through our brokenness, bringing healing and restoration to others as well as to ourselves.
The love of God is the fuel that sustains the anointing. It compels us to love others, even in difficult times. This agape love, which flows from God, enables us to show compassion and grace to those who may not deserve it. When we walk in love, we reflect the character of Christ, allowing the anointing to flow freely and impact lives.
