Healing Is Not Linear — And That's Okay

One of the hardest things about walking through a hard season as a person of faith is the pressure to be okay faster than you actually are. We've been taught to smile through it, pray over it, and keep it moving. And while faith is absolutely a source of strength, it was never meant to be a performance.

Healing has valleys. It has days where you feel like you're making progress and days where you wake up and the weight is right back on your chest. That is normal. That is human. And it does not mean your faith is weak — it means you're in the middle of a real process that God is present in every step of the way.

But look at scripture. David cried out to God in the Psalms — raw, unfiltered, honest. Job had companions who sat with him in his grief. Jesus wept at the tomb of Lazarus. Vulnerability is not the opposite of faith. It is one of the most courageous expressions of it.
